They're driving, they're flying and they might even ride a train. Suddenly, Eugene Oregon is the center of the universe. It's no surprise that this family, in two generations, has spread out between Paris and Alaska, after all, the Great Grandparents of the current younger generation did their fair share of "spreading out" from their roots. But if every now and then we conglomerate and feed off the diversity and  similarities of our relations then we are never really far apart.

Family Reunion Marks Fourth Family Gathering

The fourth gathering of the Meekins Family is set for July 7, 2012, in Eugene, Oregon. More than 30 family members are expected to attend the reunion, participating in a 10K run/4.5K walk, road trip to the Oregon coast, attending a Eugene Emeralds baseball game, and more spontaneous events. All of the Meekins siblings are expected to attend, along with most of their 14 children and 9 grandchildren. Family members have used social media extensively to connect and plan the event, including Facebook and Twitter.
